Magisterial Districts
Fairfax County is divided into Nine Magisterial Districts: Braddock, Sully, Providence, Hunter Mill, Dranesville, Lee, Mason, Mount Vernon, Springfield. Each district holds a seat on the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors. The Board of Supervisors votes on how to spend your county taxes. Currently, there are three Republicans on the Board of Supervisors (Pat Harrity for Springfield, John Cook for Braddock, and Michael Frey for Sully). Your magisterial district also affects the school board member in your neighborhood, although those positions are non-partisan.
